I’m going crazier.

Should I be worried?

Depends on if you think my psychotic tendencies are worrisome, or a turn on.

You okay?

Nothing’s okay, actually.

There’s Something About All That Blood // Jacob

Jacob had been messing with his sheet on his bed, he would ball them up in his hand fold them. Anything that would get rid of his boredom till they gave him his next meal. The knocking startled him but only momentarily.

He thought it sounded strange, it was the firmness of a person knocking with their knuckles, but he thought nothing of it. He wondered if it was possible Georgie, but that soon left his mind as he knew she didn’t know where his room was.

He got up slowly, placing his feet on the floor waiting for the coldness to adjust, it never did. Finally he answered it, to be greeted by Nathan. But when Jacob opened the door a little wider he noticed something. Now if you asked him what it was he wouldn’t be able to name it. But he noticed something about Nathan that was a little more off than normal. “Hey, Nathan,” he greeted it almost being a question since most didn’t tend to pay him visits.

“Hey Jacob, mind if I come in? I’m bored to death and I’m just looking for something to do,” he said with a slight smirk on his face. He knew that regardless, he’d move at a rapid pace to push the door open if Jacob didn’t let him in. But playing the game as if Jacob actually had a choice was incredibly entertaining, more entertaining than hurting and/or torturing him off-hand.

Flightless Bird // Wednesday

“That’s nice. It wouldn’t make sense if you didn’t hate everyone even just a little bit. That’s just what keeps us ‘sane’.” She shrugged and smiled just a little bit. “Interesting. Of all the people you could spare, you’d choose me. That’s kind of funny, usually I’d be the first one people would get rid of.” She sat on the edge of the roof and looked beyond the asylum’s barriers. She could see people out there. Those stupid campers. She turned back to Nathan. “Weird, because you’d probably be the first person I’d kill. But think of that as a good thing; you’d get to get out of here before everyone else.”

“I don’t want to die, Wednesday. I’ve never wanted to die, really. I’m entertained too much by living and torturing the living,” he admitted. He laughed bitterly in response to her stating she would kill him. “For the life of me, that’s the one thing that I can’t read in your head; why you hate me so fucking much, and what I did to warrant it. I know you hate everyone, but obviously you have a special delicious evil set aside for me, seeing as you’d kill me first.” He puffed again, blowing the smoke upward as he glanced at the sky. He continued looking up as he spoke. “I think it’s that you don’t have any reason to hate me….that’s why you hate me so much.”

There’s Something About All That Blood // Jacob

Nathan’s blood lust was returning with a vengeance. He was trying desperately to rid himself of the vulnerable feelings awakened by Wednesday. He’d already slit the throat of an orderly, and his most recent conquest involved dousing one of the doctors in gasoline and setting him ablaze. These acts satisfied him momentarily, but soon he felt the familiar itch of longing. Longing to make something suffer so he wouldn’t. Desire to assume power and stature to avoid anyone taking advantage of him… ever again.

He opened and closed the switchblade he’d found in the doctor’s drawer. The metal caught the fluorescent light, glinting as he played with the blade. He knew this would be too easy. Jacob seemed to be a trusting person, and Nathan was cunning. He walked with purpose, his steps echoing along the empty hallway. He came upon Jacob’s door, knocking with the handle of the knife.

Flightless Bird // Wednesday

“Not really.” She shrugged and sat on the edge of the roof. Shhe looked down at the ground below. “Sorry. I didn’t actually mean to hit you that hard. You okay?” She stare at endless amount of blood that seemed to be pouring from his mouth. Normally, she’d laugh in his face and continue to beat the shit out of him, but she was too tired. “Funny, that kind of made me feel worse.”

“Good,” he noted with a slight smile, blood staining his teeth. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve, continuing to spit out blood until the flow eventually stopped. They sat in silence as he pulled out a joint. He forced a smirk in her direction before lighting it with his Zippo. The blood on his fingers stained the stick as he struggled to puff around his busted lip. He held the smoke in his lungs for several seconds before blowing outward. “You know… I sort of hate you. But you’re the one person on this earth that I wouldn’t kill, no matter how much I despise you at times. I don’t really hate you. I hate what I become when I’m around you. Some fucking spineless, pathetic excuse for a human being. But I can’t stop it,” he admitted.

I don’t have any feelings when I do it. I just… kill people. It’s second nature to me.
